The Fieldnote Cards

Each fieldnote page is a guided scientific observation page that builds careful attention, accurate documentation, and foundational science knowledge across botany, astronomy, ecology, and dendrology. Subjects include tulip dissection, lunar maria, habitat classification, tree identification, and cloud discovery.

 

 

The Watercolor Cards

 

Each of the 19 watercolor pages features a printed outline ready for your student to complete in watercolor or colored pencil. Rather than starting with a blank page, Seasons Afield students focus on observation, color mixing, and careful rendering. These are the same skills botanical illustrators and field scientists have used for centuries. Subjects include blackberry, sugar maple leaf, lichen, pinecone anatomy, and snowflake formations.
